The role of plantations in reducing environmental pollution, A specific study in the light of Sirat-e-Tayyaba

Abstract

Planting trees is the most efficient way to address the issue of environmental contamination, which is putting the entire globe in great risk. People are being urged to plant trees everywhere they go, and a significant sum of money is being used to promote the value and utility of trees. Since Islam and Christianity are the two most popular world religions, more than half of all people practice these faiths. The ultimate goal of this paper is to review and present the teachings from both religions regarding the necessity and significance of planting trees, particularly from their sacred texts, the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible (Old and New Testament), in order to inspire adherents of both faiths to make this kind of contribution. Hopefully, if these lessons are applied, global efforts to prevent environmental contamination would be strengthened. In the modern world, environmental contamination is a widespread problem. In order to address sustainable solutions for environmental problems, the world community recently held the COP-27 (Climate Change Conference of Parties) in Egypt. Global environmental conferences are evidence that the globe is most concerned about the ecological catastrophe. The modern industrial revolution has given humanity access to a comfortable and opulent living. However, the natural ecological system has experienced disruption, instability, and disorder. The survival of humans on Earth is seriously threatened by the current climate changesThus, we cannot refer to the materialistic advancement of today as sustainable development. In actuality, the hazards of environmental change are a constant threat to modern man. Thus, in order to address the current ecological problems, it is our community's duty to act immediately to prevent environmental degradation. Islam is an environmentally benign religion.
