Consensus and unity of the Muslim Ummah and the concept of nationalism in the views of Allama Iqbal
Abstract
Allama Muhammad Iqbal is our national poet, he has also been honored with the titles of Masawwar e Pakistan and Poet of the East. Even today, your famous poem"لب پہ آتی ہے دعا بن کے تمنا میری" ) is recited regularly in school assemblies and there is hardly a child who does not remember this poem. Another thing that is of great importance to his fame is his very special and distinct view of the Muslim Ummah, the "Naziria Ummat" according to which Muslims wherever they live are all one Ummah and one unity. He is free from the boundaries of his homeland and Muslims living all over the world are united in the light of Islam because of one word Tawheed. Therefore, Muslims should think of being Muslims apart from Indian, Bengali, Afghani, Turkish and Arabic. Therefore, you raised this idea and recited numerous poems. Some of the people have also criticized it, but since it is not our topic of discussion, we will not describe it in this paper. In this article, we will try to explain your concept of nationalism in a simple and simple manner in the light of Allama Iqbal's sayings, poems and sermons.
