The Influence of Empowering Employees on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Performance, and Organizational Commitment: An Illustration from a Manufacturing Company with an Islamic Perspective

For an organization, employees are the most essential assets. Therefore, organizations put their significant efforts to attract, retain and maintain the talented and committed employees. Furthermore, empowerment in Islam is the method of providing an employee the power of making decisions and is often associated with the allocation of responsibilities from leaders to their employees.The objective of this study is to identify the relation between the employee empowerment, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational performance. The research uses quantitative research method. The questionnaire has been used for the collection of data. The target population is employees of different organizations operating in Pakistan and the sample size of this study is 155. Data was collected through questionnaire has been analyzed by the regression from the SPSS software. The statistical results showed that Employee Empowerment has a positive relationship with Job Satisfaction, Organizational performance and Organizational Commitment. The study implies that organizations should stress on the reward systems, provide promotion and development opportunities to empower their employees, and establish a culture where everyone can be a team player with equality and fair cooperation with other employees.
