Abstract

Judaism,Christianity and Islam are revealed religions in the world. The teachings and commandments of these religions  are focused on compassion and cooperation with their fellow human beings. They lay stress on sponsorship for the aggrieved and deprived communities.Islam, especially  urges to sponsor the poor, the needy, the destitutes, the widows, the orphans and the hanicaped etc.Exemplary model of sponsorship can be viewed during the eras of The Rasool and Khilafat-i-Rashida. This article  presents an analytical and comparative study of concept of sponsorship  in these religions and its socio-economic impacts on society.Insurance and social security systems  of present  westeren world are also  evaluated at par with Islamic conept of sponsorship. This is qualitative research in which data is gathered from secondary sources,books,articles and online sources.
