The Prophetic era, spanning from the 7th century AD, marked a transformative period in history that not only laid the foundations of Islam but also encompassed a vibrant array of recreational, cultural, social activities, and sports. This research article explores these facets through a meticulous study of historical sources, focusing on the life and times of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It investigates the diverse forms of leisure activities prevalent in Arabian society, including poetry recitation, storytelling (Hikayah), and traditional games (such as horse racing, archery, and swimming). Furthermore, it delves into the Prophet's personal involvement in social gatherings (Majalis), cultural traditions (Adab), and communal festivals (Eid). By analyzing primary texts and scholarly interpretations, the article elucidates the significance of these activities in fostering community cohesion, moral education, and physical well-being during that era. Ultimately, this study underscores the relevance of understanding the Prophetic era's recreational and social dynamics as a source of historical enrichment and cultural heritage.
